SHELLEY BURGON is a bi-coastal set designer with a distinct eye for refined aesthetics. She is sought after for her impeccable taste for rare antiques, luxury fabrics and her keen sense of color. Shelley enjoys the fine particular details that make an object or furniture peice rare and hard to find. Visually inspired by experimental film makers such as Maya Deren and sculpture artists, Lee Bontecou and Robert Smithson, Shelley enjoys a minimalist and abstract approach to her work. Her client list includes Gucci, Chanel, Prada and Calvin Klein to name a few, as well as photographers such as Glen Luchford, Dan Jackson, Charlotte Wales and Olivia Bee among others.
Shelley is also an accomplished harpist and composer, who has worked on projects with artists such as Bjork and choreographer Merce Cunnigham. As well, Shelley has licensed music to clients like Gucci and Chanel and has recorded harp for films such as First Cow and Mission Blue. Shelley works locally in NYC & LA.
